In October 2023, Xiaomi HyperOS made its debut in China alongside the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro variants.
Over the next months, Xiaomi plans to release its newest UI, called HyperOS, on a number of smartphones and tablets. The company’s previous MIUI operating system has been replaced with the software. Late last year, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro models were the first to have it. The flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone, which was just released, comes pre-installed with HyperOS, an Android-14 based operating system. Xiaomi unveiled the list of gadgets that will soon receive the stable HyperOS update at its session at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona.
According to the Chinese OEM, a stable upgrade of HyperOS will be available for the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13T, Xiaomi 12, and the Xiaomi 12T series by June of this year, which is the first half of 2024. This update is reportedly coming to several Redmi phones as well, including the Redmi Note 13 5G and the Redmi Note 12 5G series.
The following Xiaomi and Redmi models—the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13T, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 12T Pro, Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, and Redmi Note 13 5G—are scheduled to receive the HyperOS update by June 2024.
The newly released Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, Xiaomi Watch S3, and Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro are a few gadgets that come pre-installed with HyperOS. It is also confirmed that older tablets, such as the Redmi Pad SE and the Xiaomi Pad 6, would receive the HyperOS update by June of this year.
Notably, on March 7, the Xiaomi 14 base model is expected to appear in India. It is probable that the specs of the Indian model and its Chinese counterpart are comparable.
