Lava is preparing to release a new smartphone in India shortly. Although the name is still pending confirmation, a recent teaser indicates that the Blaze Curve 5G will probably be the model’s official name. In the meantime, a tipster has revealed a few important details about the next phone. He also revealed the likely launch schedule and important specifications of the rumored phone. Notably, the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC and 50-megapixel dual rear camera unit were features of the Lava Blaze 2 5G when it was introduced in India in November 2023.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the company revealed a teaser for an upcoming smartphone that is probably going to have a curved display. The phone is expected to launch soon and support 5G connectivity, according to the image attached to the post. The phrase “Curve” is used, but no information about the phone’s features or design is disclosed.
In the meantime, tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) shared pictures of the phone along with his prediction that the teased model is probably the Lava Blaze Curve 5G. It has an LED flash and a triple camera unit on the back. It has a glossy sea green finish. The phone’s back panel bears the “Lava” and “5G” labels, but the front is hidden from view.
The Lava Blaze Curve 5G is expected to go on sale in India during the first week of March, according to the tipster. A 64-megapixel Sony primary sensor and a 120Hz curved AMOLED display are rumored to be included. Notably, Lava President Sunil Raina recently made fun of the phone.
The Lava Blaze 2 5G is the company’s most recent Blaze phone to be released in India. The 4GB + 64GB model costs Rs. 9,999. Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Lavender are the available color options. The phone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a 50-megapixel dual rear camera unit, a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging, a 6.56-inch HD+ screen, and a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC.
