Launched in India: Nokia G42 5G New 4GB RAM Variant With 128GB Storage: Cost, Offers

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC powers the Nokia G42 5G.

 

In September 2023, the Nokia G42 5G was introduced in India, including a single RAM and storage combination along with two color options. The company unveiled a third colorway and an additional RAM and storage option for the phone in October of last year. The cheapest model of the phone now includes a new 4GB RAM option, which the manufacturer has disclosed. Later this month, the new version will be available for purchase in the nation.

 

The price of the Nokia G42 5G with its upgraded 4GB + 128GB version is Rs. 9,999. In India, the 6GB + 128GB option costs Rs. 12,999 at the moment, while the 8GB + 256GB version is advertised for Rs. 16,999. Beginning on March 8, Nokia will offer the latest version for sale on Amazon and the HMD website. Three color options are available for the phone: So Grey, So Pink, and So Purple.

 

The 6.56-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) LCD screen of the Nokia G42 5G has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 560 nits. It has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ CPU, up to 256GB of internal storage, and up to 8GB of RAM. Android 13 is preinstalled on the phone.

 

A 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W wired fast charging powers the Nokia G42 5G. In addition, the phone has USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, 5G, and GPS capabilities. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and an IP52 grade for dust and splash protection. The handset weighs 193.8g and has dimensions of 165mm x 8.55mm x 75.8mm.
