India Unveils Redmi A3 with Dual Rear Cameras and 5,000mAh Battery: Cost, Features

Wednesday, February 14, saw the release of the Redmi A3, the company’s newest A-series model, in India. The MediaTek Helio G36 SoC powers the brand-new entry-level smartphone from Xiaomi, which features a notch display in the shape of a waterdrop. The Redmi A3 is available in three different color combinations along with three different RAM and storage setups. It has an AI-powered 8-megapixel dual camera system and a 5,000mAh battery that can enable 10W charging.


Redmi A3 availability and pricing in India

The base model of the new Redmi A3, which comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, costs Rs. 7,299 in India. Priced at Rs. 8,299 for the 4GB + 128GB device and Rs. 9,299 for the 6GB + 128GB model. Olive Green, Lake Blue, and Midnight Black are the available color options for the reasonably priced phone. Starting on February 23, it will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Mi.com, and Xiaomi’s retail partners.

Specifications of the Redmi A3

Running Android 13 (Go Edition), the dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi A3 has a 6.71-inch HD+ (1,600×700 pixel) display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 120 Hz. As previously established, the display features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a waterdrop-style notch to hold the selfie shooter. Three gigabytes of RAM and an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 SoC power the latest Redmi smartphone.
