Before its February 15 launch in India, the Honor X9b 5G is confirmed to come with MagicOS 7.2 and a 16-megapixel front camera

It is known that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC powers the Honor X9b 5G.

On February 15, the Honor X9b 5G is expected to debut in India. There are rumours that the global and Indian versions of the device have comparable characteristics. The forthcoming smartphone’s design and color options have been hinted at by the business, which has also disclosed a number of important details. Moreover, it is confirmed to arrive with 8GB of RAM and a virtual RAM expansion capability of up to 20GB. The business has now revealed the smartphone’s operating system and front camera specifications ahead of launch.

 

Honor announced in a press release that the Honor X9b 5G will ship with Honor OS 7.2, which is based on Android 13. Numerous improved and customized components, including a number of AI-backed functions, are reportedly included. One feature that is supposed to improve user experience is AI Suggestion, which does this by “intuitively anticipating user actions.” It is claimed that another feature, MagicText, can recognize and convert text contained in images.

 

HonorTech India Head Madhav Sheth confirmed via a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Honor X9b 5G will sport a 16-megapixel front camera sensor, which will be housed within a centred hole-punch slot at the top of the curved display panel.

 

Prior to this, the company said that the Honor X9b 5G would be on sale in India with a 5,800mAh battery that is said to provide up to 19 hours of movie playback, 12 hours of gaming, and 18 hours of talk time. Additionally, the phone may be used continuously for up to three days, according to the manufacturer.

 

It has also been revealed that Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, would power the Honor X9b 5G. Its national release has been hinted at, with color options including Sunrise Orange and Midnight Black. It is anticipated that the triple camera unit will be housed within the dual-ring back camera module.

 

A 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,200 x 2,652 pixel) AMOLED screen and a 108-megapixel triple rear camera system with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro shooter are highlights of the Honor X9b 5G global model. Additionally, the device supports 35W wired fast charging.
